Day 4- Fashion and Textiles.

Our next task was to then partner up with some one and then using the different samples and bigger piece we made to then make a garment out of them, for the first 3 garments we made we did not work on our own piece,we was only given 5 minuet to make each piece.

This was the first garment we made, it was quite difficult to make this piece for we did not have much materials to work with so we was not able to cover the whole manikin, i don't particularly like the front of this piece but i do really like the back and i am very happy with it.

This is the first garment that another pair had made by using our materials, i really like this piece i feel that they covered the manikin well, i like how they have used the triangle as a base and then the chatter boxes as detail, and how they used the bigger chatted boxes as a head piece.

This is the second garment we made concentrating on the emotion anger, i found this garment alot harder to make for we had even less materials then before but i think we did show the emotion anger thru our work well especially from the front.

This is the second garment made from out materials once again showing the emotion anger thru the piece, i feel that this piece really worked for there is alot of sharp and bold shapes.

For our next garment we had to focus on one part of the body which as the bum.

This piece was alot harder to make for the flowers were to big and would not stay on the manikin, but i do really like the trail of stars i feel that they work well.

For this garment we was given a theme, the theme was to be organised i feel that the front of the garment fitted the given theme very well for it was very plain and only used black and white, where as the back of the garment did not fit the theme as well for there where too many different colours used and it was to unorganised.

We was then asked to make 3 garments using our own materials we was not given any specific theme or part of the body to work with, i feel that this piece wasn't very success full for there was to many triangles at the front of the garment and the huge chatterbox we used for the bottom of the manikin was too big and was very difficult to keep it pined in.

 This is the second garment we made using our own materials, i feel that this piece worked alot better then the last piece, i really like the chest area of the garment and the bottom of the back, they are very eye catching and the colours and shapes work very well.

This was the last garment we made, i feel once again that this garment wasn't very successful there is too much going on in the front of the dress and not enough on the back, and there need to be more colour.

over all i really enjoyed this task, i found it really good working with new people and also seeing everyone else interpretation to each different given task, it was also really good only given a small amount of time because it was really good having to just improvise instead of given a lot of time to think about it.
