Day 14 - Graphics

Our first task was to create a range of letters using a range of different mediums to test and see which medium is best to use in typography. These are the mediums that i decided to use; Felt tip pens, Charcoal pencils, 2B Pencil, 4B pencil, 6B pencil, HB pencil, Biro, Water colour pencil, fine liners and i also made a letter by dropping a pencil to make several different dots then joining the dots up to make a letter.I think i could have used more of a range of different materials like Paint, Water colours, Newspaper/collages, crayons, ink, chalk, cutting in to the paper and making a stencil.

Here i have now created my own two alphabets, i have decided to use the same type of typography in both of these alphabets but in two very different ways with two different mediums Felt tips and fine liners, one being very colourful and bring and the other bold and one solid colour.

Here i have made a small box with different type of fonts inside using a light box of already existing fonts to see which font will be best to use for my next task which is to create a poster.

These are the fonts that i used; A - Chopin script by Claudep.
N - Intrique script by Mans Greback.
N - Linux libertine by Phillip H. Poll.

H - Northwood high by Pi Luo Chinu.
A - Aon carl celtic by Cario Buziak.
                                                 U - Burton's nightmare.
